Bulbs for Beauty

NOW’S THE TIME... Bulbs are Here!

Grab your favorite fashion magazine and check out the coverage from Fall Fashion Week. It's a great way to preview the hottest trends and colors for spring. Then take that style to the garden! Go buy your favorite bulbs in runway hues and get ready to wow your friends when they bloom next spring.

Labor Day weekend is usually when the fresh crop of flower bulbs arrive in stores.

Plant a Deer-Resistant Garden: Alliums, Daffodils, Muscari, Fritillaria, Hyacinths, Duch Iris.

Plant for Fall Blooming: Crocus & Colchicum

Plant Your Holiday Flowering Bulbs: Paper Whites & Amaryllis

Amaryllis – need 6-8 weeks to come to flower so mark the calendar to pot up by the week of October 28th.

Paper Whites – forcing takes 6 weeks. Setup in decorative containers by November 11th for a beautiful holiday display. For best result, place containers in a dark location at 50-55 degrees for 3 weeks.
