About Us

Young Scott Melatti just starting out.
Young Scott Melatti after school  Directly out of high school, Scott Melatti began mowing lawns for his paper route customers in Brookfield, CT. By 1979, Scott began Scott’s Landscaping and in 1993, this first generation business became incorporated. It continued as a maintenance company, working twelve months a year maintaining properties in Brookfield and Danbury, Connecticut. In spring, summer and fall the crews performed mowing & maintenance and winters snow plowing. Scott built the business slowly over the next 25 years expanding to Bridgewater, New Milford, Roxbury, Washington, Sherman, New Fairfield, Kent and Pawling, NY. However, his dream goal to eventually own a nursery, came to fruition in 2000. Scott purchased 6.5 acres at 322 Kent Road in New Milford, CT and worked night and day turning it into the premier nursery in New Milford.

Scott’s Landscaping and Nursery is now the prestigious design-build company and an industry leader that Scott had planned in his high school days. With the addition of the right people on staff, Scott and crew can take a project from mere conception to reality and has done so over and over again. From small foundation plantings to extensive pool patios or walls, the certified crew of Scott’s Landscaping & Nursery makes it happen.

His current team of experts include:
